Pi Alpha Phi Statement on Racism and Recent Events

As an organization founded in direct response to anti-Asian racial discrimination, Pi Alpha Phi is committed to challenging the status quo and the systematic discrimination faced by Black-Americans. We condemn the discriminatory actions by law enforcement that led to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, among countless others.

We recognize the systemic racism that created the environment for their deaths.

We acknowledge the Black members within Pi Alpha Phi, NPHC, and the Multicultural Greek community who face these injustices impacting their everyday lives.

We stand in solidarity with the families and communities, and speak up against racism, hate, and inequity.

Racism, and the injustice that accompanies it, drives our community apart, and has been persistent in the fabric of our society for nearly four centuries. We recognize this moment as an important one to speak out and decide where we stand as an organization. By fighting for the freedom of our Black brothers and sisters, we are also setting into motion the liberation for all who face systemic racism.

We encourage our Brothers and community members to be active participants in taking a stand. Below are some resources on how to get involved:
