Pi Alpha Phi Fraternity is saddened to announce that Brother Robert Mady (UNCC Chapter) passed away on July 21, 2022.
Robert was a devoted Brother of Pi Alpha Phi. In addition to his involvement at his local chapter as both a student and later within the alumni community, he held multiple volunteer positions at the national fraternity level, including convention chair and most recently expansion chair.
Robert was an incredibly kind soul who was passionate about activism, philanthropy, and Asian American awareness. He moved to Colorado to pursue his dream of becoming a speech-language pathologist. His love for life impacted the lives of many others.
Sadly, he was unexpectedly taken away from us on July 21, 2022. Due to his sudden passing, we are asking for donations to help alleviate financial costs associated with funeral and medical expenses, as well as transporting him back to his hometown in North Carolina.
Funeral will take place at Hartsell Funeral Home at 13575 Broadway Ave, Midland, NC 28107 on Friday July 29th. We will give updates on the time as plans are finalized.
