In light of the current social climate surrounding COVID-19 and the increased racist sentiment and harassment towards Asian Pacific Islander Desi American individuals, Pi Alpha Phi National Fraternity, Inc. strongly condemns the xenophobic remarks and actions against APIDA communities.
We stand in solidarity with all APIDA individuals and those affected by COVID-19 and advocate for their health, safety and security. Such experiences can negatively impact one’s well-being, and encourage those individuals who are experiencing discrimination to report these actions through the appropriate channels of your community.
Furthermore, we understand that these encounters can be traumatic, therefore we encourage those who are mentally affected by the climate to seek help through the available local resources.
